She'd have to be blind and deaf not to hear the gossip of what happened with Davin. She's not either of those things, so even though it's before the ball - she's got a dress and shoes and the whole thing back at home - the bakery closes at two, and Raleigh's got a bakery box swinging from her fingers as she makes her way to Davin's apartment. He's told her where he lives, and she rings the bell once she gets there - and tries to stay on the DL, so his downstairs neighbors wouldn't know that she was here - she'd rather not end up having a confrontation with another baker if she's got a choice.
Raleigh's got no real way to know if he's got an intercom or not to let her in, so she just waits, but she'll definitely make sure he gets what she's brought, if nothing else.

He's still reeling a bit from his conversation with Lara, worried about Mel and Hank coming back to finish the job, but they probably wouldn't ring the bell in the middle of the day.
"Come in!" He calls out, wincing as the shout causes a painful twinge in his ribs. He's laid out in a thin white t-shirt and boxers, a tiny bit spacy from the pain pill he popped after Lara left. But still, he's always up for company, especially if it's a friendly face.

She brought food, but probably the last thing he wants to do is eat. "Do you mind that I stopped by? I thought you might want some company." She's worried. Of course she is, Davin's her friend, and.... god. She wishes nothing like this would happen to anyone she cared about, but Davin's so nice. "If you're not feeling up to it, I can stop by later."

And it is. He and Raleigh are really just getting to know each other, and he's touched that she would go out of her way to come see him. "Come sit. Don't let my face scare ya off."

He looks over at her with a small smile. She's staring a little, but he supposes that's to be expected. He looks pretty terrible.

"I'm really-" She pauses. "I wish I could help. I mean, can I help?" She pauses and then- "I have this... thing, it'll make it not hurt," she said quietly. "If you want it?" Joel had made them for her, and she's not going to say Joel made them - but.... she's got one of the potions with her. The ones she uses for her leg.

"Nah, I'm good right now." He smiles at her, and then furrows her brow when she says that she has something that could help. She's being vague a little cagey, and Davin's mind immediately goes to potions. He really doesn't think Raleigh is a witch, but then again, she doesn't know that he's one other.
"No, it's... it's okay," he says quietly, getting a little cagey himself. He has his own potion in the bathroom, but he's still too wary of his own power to activate it. "I have some stuff too, but I'm just gonna let myself heal, I think."

"If you're free tomorrow, I could bring cards or something?" She desperately wants to ask him what happened, but she doesn't know if they're good enough friends for that. She's not heard that gossip - she's heard that he got beaten up, that he got hurt and that there was an ambulance, but not why.
"I mean, if you want to get your mind off stuff."

"D'ya want t'stay awhile?" He asks her, reaching over to put his hand on her knee to settle her. "We could watch a movie, maybe order some food?"

Suddenly, she's got something to do, and that's half the battle with her feeling so awkward, it seems like. Thank god.

He yawns and then carefully maneuvers himself so that he can lay down on his back with his head resting on Raleigh's thigh, eyes closed as he takes a breath. "But otherwise sounds good."
