SIt doesn't make sense; the logic versus the feelings, and both of them are suddenly bending over backwards because she hadn't wanted to disrupt their plans, and she's in this weird place where she feels both incredibly cared for, and utterly awkward. "How about," she says after a second, looking between them. "How about I make turnovers and you guys have cookies and maybe when it's in the oven and I'm cleaning up, Joel can start dinner and I can help, maybe?"
She paused, and her lips curled into a smile. "And, you know. Spencer can just provide emotional support." Because that's what he does, and she's grateful for all of it.
Everything they've done for her - the fact that Spencer opened up his home to her, that they've both been so incredibly kind-- both of them, and she swallows thickly. "I'm not used to living with people," she says after a second, because she feels like it needs an explanation. What's happened, that everything just 180'd so quickly. "I'm not used to it, so.... so I'm not... really- It's hard, sometimes, to sort of figure out what I should be doing." She says it lowly, and she looks between them and clears her throat. "So thanks. I mean- for being patient, I... appreciate it."
